How can I reset my OceanBridge password/pin if I have forgotten it?
We’ve all been there; you’ve forgotten your password or a PIN. It’s incredibly annoying. So, it’s really helpful when you can reset your password/pin nice and easily.
When it comes to the OceanBridge, you have two options to reset your password.
-
Factory reset. Press and hold the TEST/RESET button on the front of the OceanBridge until the red LED turns on. You will need to hold the button for approximately 30 seconds. This will force a factory reset and the password/pin will revert back to 1234.
(Be aware, the factory reset will erase all data and settings on the unit. This includes all WiFi connections, so your unit will need to be re-paired with your smart devise.)
-
Use your system backup. If your system setup is large and complex, it may mean setting up from scratch could take hours. So, for those with large systems and have saved a backup to a USB, you have the option to send us your backup file. Our firmware team will then be able to tell you what your password is.
(Be aware, this is only an option if you have made a backup of your configuration.)
We strongly suggest you have a quick read of the Installation Manual before you do a factory rest.
If you want to speak to a member of the team before you do this, you can give us a call or email us.
